YOUR DAY IN COURT
– getting ready to be a witness
This two-day programme is designed to take the
sting out of court appearances for witnesses, especially those appearing
as experts. It combines realistic practice in being cross-examined with
specialist legal talks where the mysteries of the system are explained.
From how to address the judge to preparing witness statements, the speakers
are there to respond to your concerns.
Under High Court rules, we cannot provide coaching on current cases, but the course shows you techniques to present evidence effectively and explains the roles and requirements of witnesses – both expert and factual.
The Essential Expert Witness course will especially suit organisations wishing to prepare their staff for the courtroom experience.
The team providing the course has unrivalled expertise in this area of training for public sector organisations. The team created and delivered for many years a similar programme at the British government’s Civil Service College (now National School of Government).
Although the National School no longer offers the programme, one of its lawyers took part in a recent Pulford Media course. Other top-calibre legal speakers have included a court-going public prosecutor and a senior lawyer at the Ministry of Defence.
